Insurance claims for roof damage are stressful even in the best case. In the worst cases, families get hit with a surprise bill on the morning of installation that is thousands of dollars higher than what their insurance agreed to pay. That should not happen.
A claim goes well when the paperwork is right from the start, when you know your out-of-pocket number before the job starts, and when your roofer is on your side the whole way. Here is what that looks like at each stage.
Before the adjuster comes
- A free inspection and a written documentation package: photos, measurements and a scope of work your adjuster can read directly.
- A clear conversation about what is likely to be covered, what probably won't be, and why.
- We attend the adjuster's inspection with you if you want us there, at no cost.

During the claim
- We provide a scope of work and estimate written in Xactimate, the claims estimating software most major insurers use.
- You know what your deductible is before you sign anything.
- Hidden damage discovered during tear-off is submitted to your insurance company as a supplement before you pay for it yourself.
Before the job starts
- You know the final out-of-pocket number in writing: your deductible plus any upgrades you chose and signed off on.
- There are no surprise charges on install day.
If your insurance underpays
We write every scope in Xactimate, the claims estimating software most major insurers use, so there are fewer disputes to begin with. If there is still a gap, we help you request a supplement. We don't ask you to pay the gap out of pocket when the work is legitimately covered.
We also work closely with public adjusters. If you have hired one, or are thinking about it, we will coordinate with them directly so you are not passing messages back and forth.

What we commit to
- We attend adjuster meetings with you at no charge.
- We write every scope in Xactimate, the software most major insurers use.
- We never ask you to pay more than your deductible plus any upgrades you approved in writing.
- If hidden damage shows up after tear-off, we submit the supplement to your insurance before you see a bill.
- The number on install day is the number you knew about on contract day.
